Turtles never go to fast
Turtles they don't meow or scratch
Howard the turtle and me
We're best friends, best friends as friends can be
And we like to try and relax
Just rollin' around on our backs
Sometimes a friend is what you need
to get back on your feet again
God, thanks for creating the turtles
For all of life's hurdles
I think they take first place
And yes, some prefer pets that are furry
But we're in no hurry
You really took your time
Turtles never bark or yell
They stay quiet in their shell
Safe from the world out beyond,
They make me feel at home
No we might not be that strong
But we'll just keep marching along
I look at him, and I see You
It's a beautiful world
